Validating website address
To clarify, I’m looking for a decent regular expression to validate URLs that were entered as user input with.
I have no interest in parsing a list of URLs from a given string of text (even though some of the regexes on this page are capable of doing that). /(((http|ftp|https):\/) (([0-9a-z_-] \.) This is all well and good, but should be factored into the business requirements and costs associated with the implementation and then weighed against the desired benefits.
Depending upon the business requirements and the way that the data is received into the system, a real-time address processing solution may be the best bet.
